The typical bus tour stops at Grand Canyon South Rim to three hours. It'sa lot of time exploring, but only if you know how to get the most out of the national park system bus for free.
There are four routes of transportation, but only two questions in turn bus passengers. These roads are:
Blue (Village Road)
Green (Kaibab Trail Route)
(The other two - Red (rest Hermit) and Tusayan - consumed too much of your time and visit the gift shop.)
Blue Route
If you are attached hour, follow Route Blue. "Most coaches leave you in front of Bright Angel Lodge, the main benchmark for the Grand Canyon Village.

Greenway
Just consider taking the green route, if you decide to spend most of their time watching the Grand Canyon. If you include the green path, expected reduce the time spent in the souvenir shops.
To obtain a Green Route bus must travel the blue bus Mather Point, where at the end of the Road blue, and the transfer of a greenway bus. Green buses arrive every 15 minutes if you do not have a long wait. Take the green bus that takes you longer east. Stay in it until the pilot announced Yaki Point, marking the end of the green line.
The view from Yaki Point is impressive with views to the east of the canyon that can not see in some of the views Blue Route. Yaki Point is also less crowded with visitors. Many times you and only a few benefit from this outpost.
